Stay Safe and Healthy During the Flu Season
As the flu season progresses across the Philippines, the Department of Health (DOH) has noted an increase in influenza-like illnesses (ILI). While there is no outbreak declared, the rise in flu cases is a reminder for everyone to stay cautious and prioritize their health.
To all Cameroonian nationals living in the Philippines — whether or not you are a member of the Cameroonian Community Association — we encourage you to remain vigilant and take preventive steps to protect yourself and others.
Stay Protected and Healthy
- Practice good hygiene: Wash your hands regularly, cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, and keep your surroundings clean and well-ventilated.
- Take care of your health: Eat balanced meals, drink plenty of water, rest well, and consider getting a flu vaccine, especially if you have ongoing health conditions.
- Act responsibly when unwell: Wear a mask if you have flu-like symptoms, stay home to avoid spreading illness, and seek medical advice if your condition worsens.
If you experience persistent fever, shortness of breath, chest pain, or dehydration, do not delay — consult a doctor or visit a nearby health center immediately. Early medical care can prevent complications and ensure faster recovery.
A Message of Unity and Care
