GOAL insurance policy
Article 1: Definition of GOAL

The Association of Cameroonians Residing in the Philippines, hereinafter referred to as ‘ACPInc.’, shall set up an insurance scheme called ‘GOAL’ for its members in accordance with the provisions of this contract. This fund is intended to provide financial support to members in specific situations or categories, such as birth, hospitalization, marriage, death, etc.

Article 1.a. Any member who has paid the membership fee of PHP 3,000 is eligible for this insurance contract and can only benefit from assistance after 30 days of joining the project.

Article 2: Contributions

Article 2. a. Each member of the Association is required to pay a fee of 3000 pesos to participate in the GOAL.

Article 2. b. In the event of assistance, the amount allocated to each beneficiary shall be borne by the Goal insurance fund and the sum equitably shared and deducted from the members' individual contributions.

Article 2. c. In the event that the fund of one (or more) member(s) is zero or insufficient to cover a deduction, the missing sum is automatically redistributed and borne by the members who still have an available amount to their credit. We would point out, however, that the amount remaining for the insolvent member(s) will be automatically deducted when they update their insurance fund.

Article 3: Benefits and beneficiaries

Article 3. a. Beneficiaries in the event of the member's death: The list of beneficiaries in the event of the member's death is established in the following order: first, the default beneficiary is the member's partner or spouse, if applicable, the member's child, then the member's parent, and finally, the brother or sister as decided by the family.

It should be noted that each member is free to designate his beneficiary in advance in the event of his death.

Article 3.b. Distribution of Profits according to the Number of Eligible Persons :

To ensure a fair distribution of GOAL profits according to the number of eligible members, the following amounts have been set for each bracket of eligible members:

Tier 1: 1 to 25 eligible members

- Birth: 5,000 pesos

- Hospitalization: 10,000 pesos

- Wedding (only one groom eligible): 10,000 pesos (8,000 pesos cash, 2,000 pesos gift)

- Wedding (eligible couple): 20,000 pesos (16,000 pesos cash, 4,000 pesos gift)

- Death of a member: 25,000 pesos

- Death of a nuclear parent: 15,000 pesos

- Death of spouse: 15,000 pesos

- Death of the child: 10,000 pesos


Tier 2: 26 to 50 eligible members

- Birth: 10,000 pesos

- Hospitalization: 15,000 pesos

- Wedding (only one groom eligible): 13,500 pesos (11,000 pesos cash, 2,500 pesos gift)

- Wedding (eligible couple): 20,000 pesos (17,500 pesos cash, 2,500 pesos gift)

- Death of a member: 40,000 pesos

- Death of a nuclear parent: 20,000 pesos

- Death of legal spouse: 22,500 pesos

- Death of the child: 15,000 pesos


Tier 3: 51 to 100 eligible members

- Birth: 10,000 pesos

- Hospitalization: 18,000 pesos

- Wedding (only one groom eligible): 15,000 pesos (12,000 pesos cash 3,000 pesos gift)

- Wedding (eligible couple): 25,000 pesos (20,000 pesos cash, 5,000 pesos gift)

- Death of a member: 50,000 pesos

- Death of a nuclear parent: 25,000 pesos

- Death of legal spouse: 30,000 pesos

- Death of the child: 17,500 pesos


Tier 4: 101 to 200 eligible members

- Birth: 12, 000 pesos

- Hospitalization: 25,000 pesos

- Wedding (only one groom eligible): 15,000 pesos (10,000 pesos cash, 5,000 pesos gift)

- Wedding (eligible couple): 25,000 pesos (20,000 pesos cash 5,000 pesos gift)

- Death of a member: 60,000 pesos

- Death of a nuclear parent: 30,000 pesos

- Death of legal spouse: 35,000 pesos

- Death of the child: 20,000 pesos


Tier 5: 201 to 500 eligible members

- Birth: 12, 000 pesos

- Hospitalization: 30,000 pesos

- Wedding (only one groom eligible): 15,000 pesos (10,000 pesos cash, 5,000 pesos gift)

- Wedding (eligible couple): 25,000 pesos (20,000 pesos cash, 5,000 pesos gift)

- Death of a member: 70,000 pesos

- Death of a nuclear parent: 35,000 pesos

- Death of spouse: 35,000 pesos

- Death of the child: 25,000 pesos


Article 3.c. With reference to article 3.b, for any event planned or occurring for the benefit of members in a common-law union, a deduction of 1000 pesos shall be applied to the amount granted to them, and this sum shall be reallocated to the Association's working capital account.

In addition, when two Cameroonian nationals marry, an extra 5,000 pesos is paid to the couple, regardless of the eligibility bracket to which they belong.

Article 3.d. Each beneficiary in the next bracket will receive the amount of the previous bracket if his or her event occurs less than 90 days after joining the association. This means that if you have recently joined and you have an eligible event within 90 days of joining, you will receive the amount of the previous bracket.

However, if your event occurs on or after the 91st day after your enrolment, you will benefit from the exact amount of the bracket to which you belong.

Article 4: Limitations

Each member can only benefit once from the GOAL in the above-mentioned categories, but for the birth category, the member can benefit several times but with a minimum of 2 years separating 2 births.

Article 5: Distribution mechanism

Each time an amount is granted to a beneficiary, this amount will be divided by the total number of members, excluding the beneficiary. The resulting amount will be deducted from each member's remaining dues. It is important to note that the initial amount of each member's contribution is 3,000 pesos.

Article 6: Recovery of Contributions and Profits for Non-Eligible Persons

To maintain their GOAL eligibility, all members are required to bring their 3000 peso membership fee up to date. Any member who fails to update their dues within 15 days of the due date will lose part of their eligibility.

However, even if a member becomes ineligible due to non-payment of dues within the prescribed period, he or she will continue to benefit as follows:

Birth: In the event of birth, an ineligible member will receive a fixed amount of 3,000 pesos, from which the missing amount for membership will be deducted.

Death:

- In the event of death, an ineligible member will receive a fixed amount of 7,000 pesos if the balance of his membership fee is greater than or equal to 1,500 pesos. In addition, the amount required to update their fund will be deducted from the 7,000.
- If a member has less than 1,500 pesos left over from their membership, they will not be entitled to financial support.

All members are strongly advised to keep their subscriptions up to date to ensure their continued eligibility for GOAL benefits. The fund management committee is available to answer any questions members may have about subscriptions and benefits.

Article 6. a. Any member who leaves the Philippines shall receive a full refund of their insurance fund or outstanding membership fee within 30 days of their departure. This refund will be accompanied by an annual interest rate of 20% if the member has not benefited from the advantages of GOAL during his/her period of membership. However, if the member has already taken advantage of these benefits, interest will not apply, and the refund will be made without them.

Article 6. b. The beneficiary has 90 days in which to provide details of the channel through which it wishes to receive the reimbursement, or to designate a person authorised to receive it on its behalf. After this period, the amount of the refund will automatically be transferred to the Association's working capital account.

Article 7. Repeal of the project (SOLIDARITY FUNDS).

As from the date of 1st October 2023, the SOLIDARITY FUNDS project is abrogated in its entirety. All provisions and obligations linked to the Project will no longer be in force.

Article 8: Modification of the GOAL

The Association reserves the right to modify the terms and benefits of the GOAL, with reasonable reasonable notice to members

Article 9: Settlement of claims

Any claim under the GOAL must be submitted to the Association within 60 days, together with all the information required to assess the validity of the claim.

Article 10: Entry into force of the project (GOAL)

From 1 October 2023, the GOAL project will come into force in its entirety.

Please note: For all SOLIDARITY FUNDS members wishing to join the GOAL, the funds will be transferred to the GOAL. Only those who are up to date with the SOLIDARITY FUNDS will be immediately eligible. For those who are not up to date with their SOLIDARITY FUNDS on the above date, they will not be eligible for the GOAL until 30 days after they have completed their fund (3000).

Article 11: Applicable jurisdiction

Any dispute arising from this contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the legal department of the Association of Cameroonians Resident in the Philippines. legal department of the Association of Cameroonians Living in the Philippines.

Article 12: Definition of terms :

Nuclear parent: The nuclear parent here refers to a biological parent. That is to say legal father and mother.

Spouse: The spouse is defined here as the legally married partner of the insured. This means that the marriage is officially recognised by the relevant authorities.

Concubine: A concubine is a partner with whom a person has been living in a common-law relationship for at least 2 years, i.e. outside the legal framework of marriage.

Child: A child here is a person under the age of 18. It is the biological, adopted or legitimate child of the insured.

Adopted child: This category refers to a child under the age of 18 whose parent holds a legally recognised adoption certificate.

Hospitalisation: Hospitalisation is defined here as the fact of being admitted to and remaining in a hospital establishment due to a serious illness, injury or medical condition requiring intensive medical care and continuous medical supervision for a minimum period of 5 days. (It should be noted that childbirth cannot be considered as hospitalisation).
