Operation coup de coeur

Operation Coup de Coeur is an initiative led by the Association of Cameroonians in the Philippines aimed at providing assistance to Cameroonians in need residing in the Philippines. It's important to emphasize that individuals seeking assistance should be genuinely in need, particularly if they are jobless, homeless, or facing other significant challenges. The aim of Operation Coup de Coeur is to provide support to those most vulnerable Cameroonians in the Philippines.

Applicants seeking assistance must hold Cameroonian nationality, although membership in the association is not mandatory.

Application process:

1. Contact a Committee Member: The applicants to reach out to a designated committee member of the association either in writing or verbally. Committee members can provide guidance on the application process and requirements.

2. Provide Necessary Information: The applicants to be prepared to provide details about their situation, including name, contact information, Cameroonian nationality status, and the nature of the assistance require. This may include documentation such as proof of unemployment, homelessness, or medical bills.

3. Explain the Circumstances: The applicants to clearly articulate their current circumstances and why they are in need of assistance. Describe any challenges they are facing, such as job loss, homelessness, medical emergencies, or other pressing needs.

4. Submit Application: Complete any application forms or documentation required by the committee. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and up-to-date.

5. Follow-Up: Stay in communication with the committee throughout the application process. Respond promptly to any requests for additional information or clarification.

6. Await Decision: After submitting the application, the applicant to wait for the committee to review the request and make a decision. This may involve assessing their eligibility, reviewing available funds, and prioritizing assistance based on urgency and severity of need.

7. Express Gratitude: If the application is successful and the applicants receive assistance, they should consider expressing their gratitude to the association.Applicants can do this by either creating a video message or writing a letter expressing their appreciation. Sharing gratitude helps to strengthen the sense of community and acknowledges the support provided by Operation Coup de Coeur.

Committee Composition:

a. The committee responsible for evaluating applications should comprise both executive committee members of ACPInc. and regular association members.

b. Furthermore, the committee may also review the eligibility of applicants who have previously received assistance to ensure that resources are allocated fairly and to prioritize support for those in urgent need. This review process helps maintain transparency and accountability within the initiative.


Fund Collection: Contributions are collected from members of the association, with each member required to contribute a minimum of 100 pesos per month towards the initiative.

Contribution Allocation: 70% of the total contributions received will be allocated for immediate distribution, while the remaining balance will be carried over to subsequent periods.

Scope of Assistance: Cases related to death and bereavement are excluded from the scope of this initiative.

Frequency of Assistance: Each eligible applicant can benefit from the assistance program a maximum of 2-3 times within a calendar year.

Decision Process: Once the committee reaches a decision, it will be forwarded to the president for final approval of the payment. This step ensures that all decisions regarding assistance are carefully reviewed and authorized before any funds are disbursed.

Limitation on Future Assistance: Additionally, candidates who have received assistance from Operation Coup de Coeur on at least two occasions and still choose not to join the association will no longer be eligible to benefit from the initiative in the future. This decision aims to encourage recipients to become active members of the community and contribute to its sustainability.
